Vehicle Rental Price Guide: Daily Cost, Deposit and Extra Charges

Wheel on Rent Editorial TeamPublished 23 July 2026Fact-checked 23 July 2026

The lowest displayed rate is not always the lowest trip cost. Compare the rental duration, included kilometres, extra-distance fee, refundable deposit, fuel policy, taxes and pickup location before choosing a listing.

Build the complete quote

Ask for the exact vehicle, pickup and return times, base rental amount, deposit and everything included in writing. Confirm whether a late return creates an hourly charge, another rental day or both.

Fuel, tolls, parking, traffic penalties and damage are normally separate unless the listing explicitly includes them.

Compare like with like

Estimate your route before comparing listings. A higher daily rate with enough kilometres can cost less than a cheaper listing with a small allowance.

Treat the deposit as money required at pickup, not as a final cost when the vehicle is returned according to the agreed conditions.

Before paying

Confirm cancellation, rescheduling, extension and refund timing. Use the platform payment flow and retain the booking record rather than relying on a verbal promise.

Inspect the exact vehicle at handover and record its condition, fuel and odometer readings.
